hand carved shona sculpture from Zimbawe

logo

This sculpture was hand carved from a single stone by skilled artist in Shona Tribe, Zimbabwe.

Each sculpture is one of a kind, unique, signed and original piece of African art.

The Shona believe that ancestral spirits communicate to them through their dreams and revere the dream state as the most powerful connection to the spiritual world. Each thought or visual image that emerges within the dream state sends a salient message or valuable direction from these protective guides.

This dreamer yawning peacefully while receiving gentle messages from the protective ancestors.
This sculpture is hand carved from a single piece of dark stone called Springstone.
